"Quantico" is slated for an exciting comeback. The first half of the season was already a tangled web of friendship and betrayal, and it looks as if the next half is upping the ante even more as Alex and her friends attempt to uncover the terrorist attack that shook FBI to its core.

The 12th episode of the hit show's first season, entitled "Alex," will pack in a lot of punch with the deceased Elias Harper showing up. The defense attorney, played by Rick Cosnett, committed suicide in the show after his attempt to frame Simon was exposed. It wasn't revealed how the character will pop up in the show again, but it's probably through a flashback to the NATs' time in the Academy, even if he had already been kicked out.

The synopsis of the next episode also indicated that Alex Parrish, played by actress Priyanka Chopra, will face the glare of the spotlight in the wake of the recent terrorist attacks.

"Alex finds herself in the middle of a congressional hearing to testify about the terrorist bombings," the synopsis read. "Convinced Elias didn't act alone, she is determined to find answers and the truth. While back at Quantico, a new group of NATS join Alex and her classmates, causing tension and competition between the groups of trainees."

While Alex will be dealing with the hearing in the present day, her challenges in the Academy continue to mount as the introduction of new NATs offer additional conflict to the already treacherous camaraderie of the team.

Executive producers Josh Safran and Jake Coburn talked about the new trio joining the ranks of future FBI agents. According to the pair, alpha leader Drew Perales will display a charming yet dominant personality that will lead to him clashing heads with Alex and Natalie Vasquez.

"The fun is that Drew and Iris and Will have a bond that is very similar to Alex's and Natalie's and Nimah's and Shelby's," Safran shared. "Priyanka calls [Alex's crew] 'The Powerpuff Girls,' so it's sort of like 'The Powerpuff Girls' versus 'Dexter's Laboratory.'"

"Quantico" cast members include Chopra, Josh Hopkins, Aunjanue Ellis, Jake McLaughlin, Tate Ellington, Johanna Braddy, Graham Rogers and Yasmine Al Massri. Guest stars in the upcoming episode Marcia Cross, Rick Cosnett, David Alpay, Jacob Artist, J. Mallory McCree, Lenny Platt, Li Jun Li, Jay Armstrong Johnson and Noam Jenkins.

The next episode of "Quantico" will air on Sunday, Mar. 6, at 10 p.m. on ABC.
