Anderson Silva officially re-emerged after a year-long absence, but this time, the outcome was far different.

Nearly a year ago, Silva returned but came out with a win over Nick Diaz at UFC 183. However, the results were overturned due to failed drug tests as reported by Yahoo! Sports.

This time at UFC Fight Night 84, the main event pitting the "The Spider" and Michael "The Count" Bisping seemed pretty clean though the ending was a bit controversial. Bisping managed to deliver some shots in the early goings, but the tipping point was at the end of the third round when Silva connected with a flying knee that sent Bisping reeling.

Unfortunately, referee Herb Dean didn’t step in and allowed the round to finish, costing Silva a probably win right then and there via MMA Fighting. That instance would have easily tilted the tide in favor of Silva, but in the end, he ended up losing it all via unanimous decision to Bisping.

Bisping was a battered fighter in the end, and according to him, the score cards were a result of his dominance sans the third round.

“I thought I won the majority of the rounds. Of course, he had a big moment in round three. I dropped my mouth piece. There was no action and I was trying to (get the referee’s attention to put it back in). That’s my fault. I’m too experienced to make those kinds of mistakes,” said Bisping via MMA Weekly.

Understandably, Silva was disappointed with the outcome who believes he was robbed of a win.

"Brazil, here's the deal. If you can't win one way, they try to take it away from you another. That's it. You saw how it went down, right? So I have nothing to say. I fought for you and that's it," said Silva during the post-fight presser via The Bloody Elbow. "Thank you for the support. My family, I'm coming back home. I'm all right. That's it. Mission accomplished, but sometimes things are just like in Brazil -- Totally corrupted."

Right now, there is no telling what the future holds for Silva though he could be up for a rematch in an effort to settle and correct the controversial results.

UFC president Dana White saw the scoring differently in favor of Silva, per reports via Fox Sports.

"I had -- and I have to watch it again, there was so much craziness going on here after the flying knee -- but I believe I had it even going into the fifth round and whoever wins the fifth round wins the fight and I thought that Anderson Silva won. By the same score, but the other way," White said.

Despite that, he does not discredit the fact that Bisping made a good account of himself against Silva.

So with that in mind, would a rematch be in the cards? Such could be hard to depict for now, but if this mess is to be settled, Silva and Bisping meeting again could be among the viable options.
