Microsoft has announced the game titles and apps that will come with the HoloLens. Check them out below.

Skype Holographic

First introduced by Microsoft a year ago, Skype's Holographic version allows users to communicate using holograms, according to a blog post by Microsoft Corporate Vice President Kudo Tsunoda. With this app, users can take a peek at the hologram the other person is viewing and use holograms to demonstrate helpful methods or development tricks.

HoloTour

Tsunoda's blog post published on Windows' site describes the HoloTour as an app that virtually transports users "to a different location and experience it like they are really there." "High-resolution 360-degree panoramic displays like Rome and Macchu Pichu" are some of the examples, the news outlet added. While virtually walking through these places, users can hear the sounds of the city surrounding them, making the experience more realistic.

HoloStudio

According to PCWorld, HoloStudio belongs to the array of the original demonstrations during the HoloLens' introduction back in January 2015.

HoloStudio allows people to create 3D objects. Users can import files from other apps but also construct their own works "using a lively, cartoonish interface," the news outlet noted. These 3D models float in the air, giving users the ability to walk around them and examine the images from all sides.

ActionGram

Tsunoda's blog post describes ActionGram as an app that "uses mixed reality capture (MRC) to blend holographic content into real world settings, allowing anybody to create emotionally compelling and humorous videos." Microsoft promises to update ActionGram's content regularly for users.

'Young Conker'

"Young Conker" sets itself apart from other traditional video games by modifying each of the levels you play to your real world surroundings. According to Tsunoda's blog, "this means every person gets a unique gameplay experience since each gamers real world environment is unique."

'Fragments'

This game sounds a lot like a "Sherlock Holmes" adventure -- only it's in virtual reality. Tsunoda's blog post describes the game as "a mixed reality crime drama that unfolds in your own environment." Virtual characters can sit across from you on your couch as they talk about their experiences.

"When your living room has been used as the set for a story, it generates memories for you of what digitally happened in your space like it was real," according to Tsunoda's blog post.

'RoboRaid'

Formerly named Project X-Ray, "RoboRaid" is a first person holographic shooting game that lets users defend their homes from an alien invasion, according to Windows' site.

Price & Release Date

The HoloLens Development Edition will begin shipping in the United States and Canada on March 30 and will cost $3,000. Pre-orders for the device have already begun. Apply here.
