Only the '90s kids will remember the epic fun in the game show "Legends of the Hidden Temple." But now, everyone will be able to enjoy the hit Nickelodeon program that entertained so many kids in the past as it will be making a comeback as a new live-action television movie.

Viacom's revival of the Nickelodeon show will not offer the same experience that the fans remember. According to Variety, the "Hidden Temple" film revival will center around three siblings who will face a number of obstacles they need to conquer to survive.

While the television movie will be different from the original game show, "Legends of the Hidden Temple" will have the same vibe as the beloved series. It is set to incorporate different elements from the original game show such as the famed talking head Olmec and the Steps of Knowledge that served as an entrance to the challenges. Iconic characters like green monkeys, red jaguars and silver snakes will also appear in the film.

The "Legends of the Hidden Temple" revival will star Isabela Moner from Nick's "100 Things to Do Before High School." Joe Menendez will be directing while Jonny Umansky, Zach Hyatt and Alex Reid have signed on to write the screenplay.

The "Legends of the Hidden Temple" is slated to launch in the fourth quarter of 2016.

In an interview with Variety, Cyma Zarghami of Viacom spoke about the opportunity the company is approaching with the focus on old favorites.

"There's a tremendous amount of attention on kids these days," Zarghami explained. "What that says is there's a tremendous amount of opportunity -- not unlike what is going on in the grownup space. There is just more content everywhere."

For Viacom, Nickelodeon presents a big opportunity with its ratings improving in recent years, particularly seeing a rise of 4 percent in ages between 2 and 11. Nick Jr.'s viewership in the same demographic also increased by 57 percent.

Zarghami and her team have created a variety of content to attract more viewers. In 2015, they released "Game Shakers" that resulted to real-life downloads on iTunes and other venues with Nick and Nick Jr. applications.

According to a report from IGN, other Nickelodeon projects in the works are a two-part "Hey Arnold!" TV movie in 2017 as well as a "NickToons" movie combining other old favorites such as "Rugrats," "Rocko's Modern Life" and "The Ren and Stimpy Show."
