The WWE has a lot of stars on the injured list, and one name in there is Cesaro. The 35-year-old wrestler has been out since November due to an injured shoulder. Cesaro ojoins other injured names including Randy Orton and Seth Rollins.

Before he fell to injury, Cesaro was receiving a big push as a face wrestler. It was another transformation for the "Swiss Superman," who previously held the tag titles with Tyson Kidd last year.

Forced to Go Solo

Cesaro was forced to venture out in singles competition, following an unfortunate injury by Kidd against Samoa Joe in June of last year.

Kidd suffered severe neck and spinal injuries when Samoa Joe hit his patented "Muscle Buster" at a dark match on a WWE show. The move had been questioned by some though the manner of which it was done was later on proven to be not that dangerous.

With Kidd out, Cesaro underwent a character change and kicked that off by challenging John Cena for the U.S. title three weeks after Kidd’s injury. His performance drew praises from fans and Cena himself, and such kicked off his singles run.

From there, he found himself jostling with the likes of Kevin Owens and Rusev as he rode on the positive embrace given to him. The run lasted only for about five months with a torn left shoulder rotator calf muscle getting worse.

Cesaro Back in 2 to 3 Months

The frustrations are obvious for Cesaro with the injury keeping him out of big WWE pay-per-views.

“I hate to say it, but [WrestleMania 32] is probably too soon," said Cesaro. He added, "it's like the worst time to be hurt, not that there's a good time to be hurt, but it's probably the worst time of the year to be hurt. Missing the [Royal] Rumble, missing WrestleMania, it's our high season."

Like others who have been forced out of action, Cesaro knows the opportunity he is missing. Though a mid-card name, Cesaro could add more spice to WWE matches and WrestleMania 32.

Two to three months point to a possible May or June return, ironically about the same time he ventured out in solo competition. So once he does get clearance, it will technically see him start with a clean slate. Hopefully, such will position Cesaro up for another major storyline and maybe even shot at one of the major WWE titles.
