Demi Lovato has been Iggy Azalea's shoulder to cry on during the much publicized cheating scandal the rap star finds herself at the center of stemming from the leaked video featuring fiance Nick Young.

Since the video of Young admitting to his indiscretions that was taped by teammate D'Angelo Russell was made public, Lovato has been by her pal's side, serving as moral support and her guardian angel.

Lovato Like a Guardian Angel

"Demi has been an angel through all of this and not getting into it unless Iggy wants to talk about it, a source said of the 23-year-old Lovato. "Demi has made it clear that she is there for her through thick and thin no matter what."

The 25-year-old Azalea and Lovato have long been close, with Iggy publicly naming Demi as one of her bridesmaids soon after she announced her engagement to the 30-year-old L.A. Lakers star.

"Demi is proud to call Iggy a friend and she will definitely be her shoulder to cry on through this whole process," a source added. "Demi has been through a lot worse and is happy to make Iggy feel better any way that she can."

Russell Speaks Out

For his part, the 20-year-old Russell has insisted that he never meant to cause disharmony in the couple's relationship and only taped Young as part of a prank that got out of hand.

Though Russell has apologized, he recently told ESPN, "I'm getting over it. But if the person that it hurt the most gets over it, then I feel like it's done. Until he lets it simmer down, then I think it will still be an issue."

Young and Russell are both under contract with the Lakers through the 2016-17 season.

"It's at the point where you need your space," Russell added. "You can't force peace. You have to let time heal it."
