The Selena Quintanilla MAC Cosmetics line is set to hit stores just in time for the Christmas holiday shopping season.

Spurred by a Change.org petition that garnered more than 37,000 signatures and the work of her sister to keep her legacy alive, the brand is expected to formally launch sometime this October.

Selena's Look Remains Legendary

Throughout her storied rise to fame and esteem, Selena became almost as well known for her bright red lips as she was for her hit tunes and high-waisted pants.

It's been more than two decades now since the Tejano songstress was tragically gunned down, but her popularity remains as high and her fan base as loyal as ever.

Named after one of her classic hits, one of the first lipstick shades released will be "Como La Flor," a combination of bright pink and almost red shades.

"Selena's vivacious music and style lives on through the passion of her fans and her impact on Latin beauty and culture," Mac reps oozed. "'Como La Flor' is just a sneak peek of a multi-product deco collection that was curated with Selena's sister Suzette."

Fans also previously took to Change.org to launch a movement requesting that legendary Barbie doll maker Mattel create a doll exclusively in her honor.

"We want Mattel to create an official Selena doll in her likeness," read the petition launched by fan Remy Ocampo. "There has yet to be any curvy Hispanic Barbie dolls in any Barbie line and we think Selena is a perfect candidate for that kind of representation. Selena was truly a person to be admired and I think young girls and boys would appreciate having a Selena doll in their collection."

Selena Credited With Inspiring Jennifer Lopez

Selena is credited with inspiring countless Latino performers, including Jennifer Lopez, who famously played her in a biopic.

As for her new cosmetics line, sister Suzette reflected, "I wanted the colors to be about her personally, what she wore on and offstage. She has been gone for 21 years already, and for this collaboration to happen, it's pretty much incredible. It just shows the love her fan base has even though she's gone."
