Prince Dead at 57: Latino Stars Mourn The Death of 'Purple Rain' Music Legend
The entertainment industry is mourning the death of music superstar and egend Prince. On Thursday April 21, the singer's publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, announced the passing of the "Kiss" singer.
"It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary, iconic performer, Prince Rogers Nelson, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57," said Noel-Schure.
According to several reports, the exact cause of the Grammy-winning star's death is still unknown but according to USA Today the star was found unconscious in the elevator of his home in Minneapolis.
Reports of the star being in poor health have circulated online over the last month but exactly what the conditions of his health was prior to his death is still unknown.
After the news broke, several Latino stars took to social media to share their sadness over the loss of the music star.
Those who reacted on Twitter included Lin Manual Miranda, Demi Lovato, Gina Rodriguez, Mario Lopez, George Lopez, Mario Lopez, Jennifer Lopez, Gael Garcia Bernal, Kate Del Castillo and Rep. Tony Cardenas.
