Dogs Awaiting Slaughter Rescued From Korean Meat Farm
The Humane Society International has rescued over a hundred dogs from a cruel fate at a Korean dog meat farm and those rescues are set to go up for adoption in the United States.
A lot of people aren't aware but South Korea has a reputation for farming dogs for trade. The organization, which works to protect animals from cruelty and extinction, announced on Twitter that they are in the process of shutting down their fifth South Korean dog meat farm.
HSI revealed that their latest rescue includes trying to get 170 dogs to safety here in the U.S. So far 79 of them have been brought over to receive proper care in shelters until they can be adopted.

According to the SPCA of Texas, where a few of the dogs are being cared for, some rescues are beginning to adapt to their much safer and caring surroundings after spending most of their lives waiting for slaughter.
“These are six more dogs who won’t suffer any more, and who are now receiving every bit of care, love and attention they so richly deserve as they make their journey towards homes of their very own."

The rescue was made possible by working with the farm owner to help shut it down and remove all the suffering dogs.
