The NCIS team tracked down a dangerous terrorist on the latest episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles."

In "Exposure," the NCIS team runs to the site of a bombing at Venice Beach that killed two people and injured many others, including a few children.

Before the team begins to investigate, local reporter Dana Steele says a terrorist group called JLF is responsible for the attack. The organization does not claim responsibility for it, but she reports the info based on a source. She's able to hinder the NCIS investigation by sending them a fake source, meaning she places the blame on the wrong group and hurts the investigation.

Yet, in the end, her irresponsible reporting ends up getting her killed by the real bomber. Although she hurts the investigation, NCIS is able to track down the bomber after she was killed.

Sam (LL Cool J) and Callen (Chris O'Donnell) follow the reporter to find her source, then find the bomber after he approaches her.

He takes responsibility for the terrorist act, and says he did it to prompt a U.S. military response in his home country of Sudan, and that the attack is linked to Sudanese terrorism.

However, after the team investigates, they find that it was an isolated attack and is unrelated to the Sudanese conflict.

In the end, Sam and Callen are able to thwart two other Sudanese men from setting bombs off, preventing another attack from occurring.

On next week's season finale, called "Deep Trouble," "The team learns that a cartel plans to transport billions of dollars worth of cocaine from Colombia to the U.S. using a submarine. Callen and Sam are assigned the task of locating the missing vessel. Meanwhile, Hetty is called to Washington in response to the mission in Afghanistan."
