Alejandra Guzmán to Be Recognized at Spanish Gay Parade; Is First Mexican Guest of Honor
Alejandra Guzmán will take on Europe at a Spanish gay pride parade.
"I'm going to the gay pride [parade] and I love it because there it will be a lot of crazy ones having fun," she said, reports La Opinion. "For me it's a dream come true. It's things like these that get you excited about getting ahead in other countries."
Guzmán is the first Mexican to be invited, and she is also to be honored at the event.
The event takes place on July 4, and Fangoria, Ana Torroja and Marta Sanchez will also be participants.
The singer is highly in demand at the moment. She was also present at the fair in Puebla to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, which took place at the Plaza de la Victoria, and broke attendance records. Thousands of people showed up to watch her sing, and they didn't have to pay for it.
Guzmán is known to keep her more than 1 million Twitter followers up to date on her travels. She'll be jetting off to Peru for her May 27 concert.
Recently, she opened up about the role social media plays in relationships, particularly when it comes to the youth.
"With the father of my daughter, we lasted 10 years because I had to continue my career. I was already Alejandra Guzman," she said. "I Have been mother and father to my daughter. It's not easy getting them ahead. All mom can understand me. One cries seeing them grow up."
She said that learning to be a parent cannot be learned from a book, especially nowadays with children's dependence on technology. Guzmán sometimes goes to therapy with her daughter so that they can learn how to better communicate with each other because many times it's technology that wins children.
