France vs. Cameroon International Friendly 2016 Predictions, Preview, Streaming Info & Schedule
France takes on Cameroon in an international friendly on Monday at 3 p.m. EDT.
The match means nothing to either side, but presents France with a solid tune up before it hosts the Euro 2016 next week.
The Pre-Tournament Outlook
The French enter this tournament as solid favorites for a number of reasons. On one hand, they will look to give their fellow nationals something to celebrate after the attacks on Paris last year. Putting on a show at home would be a major morale boost and something to unite the French.
Moreover, France has won the last two tournaments that it hosted - the 1998 World Cup and 2000 Euro tournament.
The team itself is rather prominent with a lot of strong players throughout the lineup. Hugo Lloris will lead the team in goal while the midfield will feature a number of veterans. The average age of France's defense is 28. Patrice Evra and Laurent Koscielny are the big fish back there but there will be a lot of rotation going on to give them the necessary rest to last the potential seven-game tournament.
The midfield is filled with solid players but the offense is where France is due to shine with Antoine Griezmann leading a line that will also include Olivier Giroud and Anthony Martial. Kinglsey Coman has been a revelation at Bayern Munich this year and is also due for a solid tournament.
France has won seven of its last eight matches with a defeat against England the only blemish on its recent run. In its run, France has toppled Portugal, Denmark, the Netherlands and Russia.
Cameroon's Recent Activity
Cameroon has not been particularly involved since last year, competing in the Africa Cup of Nations in addition to a few friendlies.
Cameroon has never defeated France, losing twice and drawing in just one match against the European side.
Prediction
France should win this game easily, with a likely 3-0
