Pokémon Sun and Moon Release Date, News Update: Three New Pokémon Announced at E3, New Special Ability [Video]
The Pokémon Company International announced three new Pokémon and new information regarding a Mythical Pokémon set to debut in the upcoming "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" games.
Pikipek
At Nintendo's Treehouse Live E3 presentation, the first new Pokémon revealed may likely be the standard flying type encountered early in the game. The dual flying and normal type Woodpecker Pokémon is Pikipek, with a beak that can drill stone.
Yungoos
Known as the Loitering Pokémon, Youngoos is a normal type that is constantly hungry and has a terrible temper when starving. He has a new Ability named Stakeout, which allows its moves to deliver twice the normal damage to any Pokémon that switches in or enters the field during the battle.
Grubbin
Grubbin, the Larva Pokémon, is bug type that isn't afraid to use its jaws. With its sticky threads, Grubbin can wrap or swing around trees.
Magearna
Magearna was previously announced but more information has been confirmed. Magearna was created by a scientist 500 years ago and within the center of Magearna's chest is the Soul-Heart, which is said to be "an artificial life which was created using the life energy of other Pokémon." Magearna has the ability Soul-Heart, also new to the games, and it raises Magearna's Special Attack by one each time another Pokémon in the arena faints.
"Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" will be available for the Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 18.
