Ouch! Ninel Conde seems to have a lot of people who doubt her talents.

Mexican singer Yuri had a lot to say about Ninel Conde's live singing on the show "Amar y Querer," where she sings the songs made famous by José José.

"Give her a chance. There's something I admire very much about Ninel," Yuri said, according to Esmas. "For many, perhaps she doesn't have the talent or the voice or other things that people say, but the kid is brave."

Yuri also explained that José José's song are difficult to sing, so she doesn't blame Conde for not being able to pull it off.

"She's a woman that defends herself with her show," she said. "She puts a lot of effort into what she does. That's applaudable. I think that perhaps she doesn't have a stupendous voice. ... But she defends herself, and the public is the one that has the last word."

But maybe this won't bother Ninel Conde too much. After all, she has gotten José José's seal of approval.

"The public has been waiting for Ninel Conde with great enthusiasm," he told TV y Novelas. "And she, in turn, is bringing a magnificent demonstration of her acting ability. She's been well applauded and received with love, as it should be."

He added that she has gotten better as the show goes on, but he never doubted her talent. José José knew it was only a matter a time until she mastered it.

The singer also spoke briefly about Ninel Conde's pregnancy, saying that he found out from other people.

Though he doesn't find it his place to speak on her pregnancy, he did say, "She is feeling extraordinarily well. She's thin, beautiful and working excellently. The people have received her very well, including giving her -- as well as the rest of the cast -- standing ovations because all of them sing incredibly well and are very good artists."
