Colombia vs. France Live Stream, Preview, Predictions for Olympics 2016
The women's national teams from Colombia and France face off in their opening Olympics match on Wednesday.
Colombia enters ranked 24th in the world and as one of the few heavy underdogs in the tournament. This is just the second Olympic appearance for the South American side after competing in 2012. In that tournament, Colombia managed a woeful three losses without scoring a single goal.
France's record is not that much more stellar than Colombia's as the team only made its first Olympic appearance in 2012. Despite being debutantes, the team still managed to finish fourth in the tournament.
France's next game will be against the United States while Colombia will have to do battle with New Zealand. The South American nation will close out its group stage against the United States while France gets New Zealand on the final date of the initial phase of the competition.
Predictions:
France will likely win this match 2-1 to kick off its tournament hopes.
