Real Madrid vs. Sevilla Live Stream, Preview, Predictions for UEFA Euro Super Cup 2016 As Cristiano Ronaldo Rests
Real Madrid and Sevilla face off in the UEFA Euro Super Cup on Tuesday.
Real Madrid was crowded the champions of Europe when they topped rivals Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final via penalties. The team won the Super Cup two years ago against Sevilla as well with two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese superstar will not be on hand for this match due to the injury he suffered in the Euro 2016 final. But he won't be the only major piece missing from the game. Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos are also out of the match. Goalie Keylor Navas is also not going to feature in the game.
This means that Los Blancos will rely on the efforts of Luka Modric, James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema to lead them over the Europa League champs.
Sevilla pushed Barcelona to the brink a year ago in this matchup, losing 5-4 in extra time despite being the better side at times in the game.
Prediction
Real Madrid is the clearcut favorite, though the absence of top players could ultimately hurt them. Look for Sevilla to upset the Spanish giants in a 3-1 game.
Start Time
Real Madrid and Sevilla kick off at 2:45 p.m. EDT.
Live Stream
The UEFA Super Cup can be viewed via Fox Sports 1 or using the Fox Soccer 2 Go app.
