With the enormous recent success of movies based on heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially the big superhero team-up "The Avengers", Marvel now faces even bigger expectations from its fans to outperform itself.

The second installment of the expected three-film production of the Avengers can no longer be kept a secret from all the ongoing buzz, speculations, and expectations. Marvel decided not to keep fans guessing by revealing several characters in the most recent post-credit sneak peeks. Given their super powers, we know that the two latest superheroes in the Avengers series are Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch.

In an interview, actors Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver) and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) disclosed some details about their characters without giving too many specifics. Fans are excited to see how these two new characters will add flavor to the existing line-up of superheroes. The newcomer pair is said to be of Eastern European origin in the film.

Taylor-Johnson also divulged his doubts prior to joining the cast, feeling that he would merely be an add-on to an already star-studded band of superheroes played by no less than real life movie superstars. However, Joss Whedon assured him that the two new characters will not just be an add ons but he wants to bring in these characters to mess with the Avengers. It took him a while to accept the role, going back and forth on the decision for about a year, but he now says that he is "super happy" to be joining the team.

The Avengers will reassemble in another film in order to battle Ultron, the villainous sentient robot who will be portrayed by James Spader in 2015. Joss Whedon further revealed that Ultron's creator in the comic books, Hank Pym, will not be included in the film.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will be hitting the big screens on May 1, 2015.
