The world’s fastest man Usain Bolt is preparing for the 200m race at the Rio 2016 Olympics. His next scheduled race is the 200m, an event which starts today, Tue. August 16 at 10:50 p.m. ET. Bolt updated his Facebook Page photos of him holding his most recent Gold medal. Is the athlete rubbing it into his opponent’s faces?
“I saw your victories in Beijing, London and Rio,” Facebook User Fabian Wirth commented under Bolt’s photo. “I saw your victories at the world Championships and your World records in Berlin. You are one of my heroes.”
Bolt said his goal is to strike Gold in the rest of the Olympic races. Does Justin Gatlin, Andre de Grasse or Yohan Blake even stand a chance?
Who Stands a Chance Against Usain Bolt?
Blake, nicknamed The Beast, has the best chance to beat Usain in the 2016 Rio Olympics 200m race. The 26-year-old’s best 200m record is from the 2012 London Olympic Games where he won the Silver medal.
His record, 19.26 seconds, is not too far from Bolt’s 19.19 seconds record in Berlin 2009.
Fans still have hope for Gatlin, especially with a lot of American athletes dominating the Olympic Games. Gatlin won the Bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics.
But this year is de Grasse’s first year at the Olympic Games so Canadian fans can hope that he gets this win with “beginner’s luck.”
Given the results from the previous races, it looks like Bolt is going to take home another medal at the end of the 2016 Rio Olympics 200m race. At least his fans hope so!
