The Tuesday, August 30 Mega Million jackpot has climbed to $84 million after there were no grand prize winners in the August 26, 2016 $76 million drawing. With that, the jackpot has now rolled over, offering a single game winner in Tuesday's game the chance of walking away with a cash option payment of $58 million. The winning numbers in last Friday's game were 10, 11, 31, 41 and 44. The inning Gold Mega Ball number was 14 and the megaplier was 2.
Three Million Dollar Winners
Three players matched all five white ball numbers to win $1 million. The winning tickets were sold in California, Maryland and Michigan, with the player from Michigan also playing the megaplier to increase their winnings to $2 million.
In all, there were 452, 834 winners of at least $2 each. You can watch a live stream here of Friday night's draw.
Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. Five balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 75; the Mega ball is drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 15. The odds of winning the jackpot is 1 in 259 million.
Mega Millions is played in 44 states, plus the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $1 each.
Powerball Jackpot at $154 Million
Meanwhile, the August 31, Powerball jackpot has now spiked to $154 million with a cash option payment of $107 million.
There were no jackpot winners in last Saturday's game, when the winning digits were 4, 32, 48, 49 and 63. The winning Red Powerball number was 20 and the Power Play number was 2.
Overall, there were 678,744 winners of at least $4 each.
