The defending World Cup champions were not always that their best in qualifying for the Euros and wound up mightily disappointed in their bid for two straight titles as they lost against France in the semifinals of the Euro 2016. Germany will look to qualify for its 16th straight World Cup campaign.
Norway is looking to compete in its first World Cup since 1998 when it wound up being eliminated in the Round of 16 by Italy 1-0. Norway has only qualified for the World Cup on three separate occasions - 1938, 1994 and 1998.
Germany is expected to be the favorite in its group while Norway might have to struggle with the likes of the Czech Republic and Northern Ireland to get into the next round or the tournament; Azerbaijan and San Marino are the likely minnows of the group.

Germany may be on the road, but the team should be primed to win the match by the score of 2-1.
