Poland vs. Kazakhstan Live Stream, Preview, Predictions for World Cup 2018 Qualifiers
Poland and Kazakhstan kick off their UEFA World Cup Qualifier on Sunday.
The Poles had a solid Euro 2016 tournament that ended in the quarterfinals with a penalty shootout loss against Portugal. Robert Lewandowski, the team's top scorer was a surprising absence in that tournament, scoring just once in France after leading all goalscorers in the qualifying round. He hit a total of 13 goals in that tournament and needs to be a major piece for the Poles as they navigate a tricky group.
Poland likely remains the favorite to top a group that includes Denmark, Romania, Montenegro, Armenia and Kazakhstan. Armenia and Kazakhstan are likely the minnows of the group, but Denmark and Romania will pose a major issue for the Polish.
This is a must-win game for Lewandowski and company.
Poland has not qualified for a World Cup since 2006 and has not gotten out of the first round since 1986. Kazakhstan has never qualified for the tournament.
Prediction
Poland is the heavy favorite in this match; expect the team to put together a 4-0 win.
