Ed al-Adha 2016 – Sept. 11 to Sept. 15 – is being honored throughout the U.S. where Muslim-Americans celebrate with family while reciting some of the most popular Eid quotes and sayings for future blessings. The holiday is one of the two main Muslim holidays celebrated globally and is considered holier than Eid al-Fitr.
Eid Al-Adha Top Quotes
Also known as the Sacrifice Feast of “Bakr-Eid,” this holiday commemorates the annual hajj pilgrimage where Muslims make a trip to Saudi Arabia each year. People of the Islamic faith are expected to make one trip to Mecca in the last month of the year at least once in their lifetime.
A person who has successfully completely the Muslim pilgrimage would often be called el Hajj to show a sign of respect. Often it will take time to acquire the funds and religious education to make the trip.

“You cannot guide those you would like to but God guides those He wills. He has best knowledge of the guided.”
“He is the One God; the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Glorifying Him is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise.”
“My people, ask for your Lord’s forgiveness and promise Him that you will not repeat your sins. God, then, will shower you with provisions from the sky and make you a strong nation. Do not repeat your sins.”
“My nation, ask your Lord to forgive you and turn to Him in repentance. From the sky He will loose an abundance (of rain) upon you; He will add strength. Do not turn away as sinners.”
