Chile vs. Peru Live Stream, Preview, Predictions for FIFA World Cup 2018 Qualifiers
Chile and Peru face off in the World Cup Qualifiers 2018 on Tuesday.
Who would ever have thought that Chile, Copa America champs two years in a row, could miss the 2018 World Cup? The team is getting to that point after dropping a 3-0 contest in Ecuador, its most important fixture to date.
Chile has now gone winless in three straight and five of six overall.
Now it must try to find its best form against a Peru side that is coming off a 2-2 draw with Argentina in a game it trailed twice.
The last time two teams met, Chile managed a 4-3 win. That game saw the Chilean defense at its worse and hinted at future problems to come for the team.
The top four teams in the CONMEBOL standings automatically qualify for the World Cup tournament in 2018. The fifth place side has to contest a two-legged playoff with a team from the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC).
Who Wins? Prediction
Chile is in shambles and it is hard to imagine the team suddenly starting to improve dramatically from one game to the next against a tough Peru side. The game ends in a 1-1 draw.
Where and When? Start Time, Date, Location
Chile and Peru kick off at 7:30 p.m. EDT on Tuesday.
