Are we seeing the end of the Kardashians era?

It's almost the ninth year anniversary of "Keeping up with the Kardashians", which first aired on Oct. 14, 2007, and there is still no confirmation if the show will push through.

"Keeping up with the Kardashians" is supposed to return on Oct. 23 for the second half of Season 12. However, Variety reported that a spokesperson for E! has confirmed that the production of the show has been shut down as Kim Kardashian recovers from her Paris robbery trauma.

The Variety quoted the source as saying, "Kim's well-being is our core focus right now. No decision has been made as to when the production will resume."

E! News reported that Kim has returned to her Los Angeles home, arriving via private plane last Thursday with her mom and two kids. She stayed for a while with her husband Kanye West in their New York City apartment.

E! News also reported that "Kim has been sending texts and emails to her inner circle, assuring them that she's "doing OK" despite being "shaken up" by the experience."

A source close to Kim reportedly told them that, "[Kim] says she doing OK, but that the whole thing really freaked her out. She's just relieved that Kanye and the kids are OK. That's what she's concerned about-their safety."

Apparently, Kim was upset about some critics who speculated that the robbery was a publicity ploy.

"It's crazy to her that people, even for a second, think she is fabricating this story," a source close to the star told E! News, adding that right now, "She feels like no one understands her and what she been through."

"Kim is surrounded by her friends and family now. She is really upset and is going to speak to a therapist in deeper lengths about this," said the insider.

E! News had earlier reported that Kim and her makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic has postponed a Dubai makeup class demonstration that was originally scheduled on Oct. 14.

Fans of "Keeping up with the Kardashians" should not lose hope, though.

Variety has reported that "Keeping up with the Kardashians" had already signed a three-year extension deal with the network in early 2015, which means the famous family will be on our TV screens until 2018.
