2016 Geneva International Motor Show unveils limited production of 2017 Porsche 911 R
Porsche 911 is a high performance sports car that has been made since 1963, and it now unveils a limited production 911 R at the 2016 Geneva International Motor Show. Only 991 vehicles will be produced. It has an overall weight of 1,370 kg (3,020 lb), a high-revving 4.0 L six-cylinder naturally aspirated engine from the 991 GT3 RS, and a six-speed manual transmission.
It looks like 911 R turned out to be identical to 911 GT3 without a rear wing. They resemble in their front and rear bumpers, side skirts, mirrors and even the wheels. The engine lid is one feature that makes 911 stand out from GT3. There are borrowed features of hoods and fenders from GT3 as they are also made with carbon-fiber. As for the roofs, they are made from magnesium. If we have to talk about the weight, the 911 R is lighter and makes it the lightest road-legal 911.
Porsche says, the car is developed in the Motorsport workshop, the 911 R extends the spectrum of high-performance naturally aspirated engines alongside the motor racing models 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 RS, and it's once ag 2017 porsche, 911 R, sports car ain displaying its commitment to especially emotional high-performance sports cars. According to Netcarshow, the "car is a thoroughbred driving machine". Leaving its performance behind, the interior of the car is designed with track weekends with the front seats having carbon-fiber shells wrapped in tartan cloth, a feature reminiscent of the original 911. The steering wheel is finished in black and the door handles have lighter pull straps.
The chassis and suspension of the car are tuned with rear-axel steering, the rear differential lock which give the coupe direct turn-in characteristic, precise handling, and high stability. Porsche 911R is the most expensive naturally aspirated version of the sports car, but it's everything it needs to be in the collector's item of car lovers.
