FDA Warning: Risks from Testosterone supplements
FDA warns of dangers from Testosterone supplements stating that it could cause heart attacks, personality changes and infertility. The Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) can cause these diseases.
It appears that millions of American men consume these pills, gels or even get injections in order to boost their physical health as per the Web MD. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration had warned the public that these supplements can cause severe damage to the human system.
However, the side effects will not be known immediately and it will probably take months or even years after consumption. Though Anabolic steroids of testosterone are legally prescribed to treat certain conditions it is still open to a heart attack.
It is believed to treat conditions like delayed puberty and lack of muscle loss caused by cancer or AIDS. There is a list of diseases that are prone after the consumption of testosterone supplements; some may result in depression, irritability, loss of appetite, decreased libido and insomnia.
As stated on Medical Xpress abuse of testosterone higher than those typically prescribed is associated with serious safety risks affecting the brain, mental health, liver and endocrine system.
The problem arrives when testosterone and other AAS are consumed by adults including athletes and body builders. There are other supplements separately used for body building like natural supplements, but in order to get a quick result and bulk up the body in terms of muscle this is consumed extensively.
The result will be powerful but the side effects seem to come with a high price, there have been several cases registered due to excessive use of AAS which have even been fatal.
The Food and Drug Administration stated that many American men use them, but heart and psychological issues occur over a period of time. There is no particular time limit for the withdrawal symptoms, but excess of consumption is sure to gain a bad result.
