Luis Suarez has been a subject of recent transfer rumors over the past several weeks, but the Liverpool striker played down speculations suggesting that he is planning to make a move to Spain this summer.

Suarez, who netted 31 goals in the English Premier League this season, said on Wednesday that he is not thinking of leaving Liverpool anytime soon amid strong interests from several top-tier teams.

The 27-year-old is continuously being linked to Real Madrid, who are reportedly preparing a £60-million summer bid for Suarez. Real Madrid also tried to lure Suarez last year, but the Uruguay international decided to ink a four-and-a-half-year deal with the Reds in December.

"I do not take any notice of these stories. I have a contract with Liverpool," said Suarez, who led Liverpool to second-place finish in this season's English Premier League race. "When I read that Madrid want to sign me, I turn the page. It is just speculation."

Recent reports also indicated that Barcelona could also make a strong push to acquire Suarez this summer, but the star striker also insisted that he is not thinking about it, even if playing alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar is an opportunity that is too good to pass up.

"They are great, world-class players, but this is all just speculation," Suarez said.

Suarez, who was recently named as the PFA Player of the Year, could bag another major award. He is currently tied with Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo with 31 goals in the race for this year's European Golden Boot award.

Ronaldo could surpass Suarez and become the sole winner of Golden Boot award, though, if he scores against Espanyol on Saturday.

While he is not prioritizing getting individual awards, Suarez admitted that he is hoping that Ronaldo's goal count will stay at 31 after Real Madrid's final league game.

"What happens is that you get fed up scoring goals and it bores you because they do it so easily. At the start of the season it was not my objective," Suarez said. "But as the season goes on you keep scoring. When Madrid play, I will be hoping that Cristiano does not score any more."
