New ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ Trailer: Baby Groot Steal the Show
A new teaser for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2" has just been released by Marvel. The first trailer only shows a glimpse of the two characters Rocket Raccoon and Baby Groot who were in the franchise.
According to Time, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is bringing back the cast in action with a new look for the highly-anticipated sequel. The trailer featured plenty of the old-sarcastic Rocket, Chris Pratt as Star Lord and adorable Baby Groot, along with new arrivals in the form of monsters and aliens. The trailer is set in a giant space battle, complete with bickering,banter and humor.
In "Guardians of the Galaxy" (2014), the plot is around young Peter Quill who is abducted from Earth, and later brought on the planet Morag where he acquires the orb. The other characters comes into play when Quill attempts to sell the orb to the Nova Empire, but Gamora ambushed him and steals the orb.
During the fight, the attention drew towards the genetically and cybernetically modified Raccoon Rocket and their human-like humanoid Groot. The Nova Cops captures the four and they encounter Drax who is another character that makes up the team.
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will again helmed by James Gunn, while Christopher Townsend will lead the movie's overall visual effects. The vfx facilities onboard, on the other hand, includes Framestore, Weta Digital, Animal Logic, Scanline VFX, and Method Studios, Cartoonbrew reported.
In an interview with James Gunn, he said that "With Guardians, [fans] really go through every single little shot and try to figure out what the movie's about. And there's a lot of mysteries in Guardians 2," He also added that theu "were talking about how much to give away - and we're not going to give away very much."
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will hit theaters on May 5, 2017.
