According to NFL.com, Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson is unhappy with the direction the team is going in. The team had the No. 1 overall pick in the draft and selected defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. The Texans did not select a quarterback until the fourth round, when they chose Tom Savage out of Pittsburgh.

It appears as if the Texans are rebuilding instead of trying to win it all now.

Johnson will be 33 years old next season and has played all 11 seasons of his career with the Texans. In those 11 seasons, Johnson has surpassed the 1,000 yard mark seven times. Johnson has easily been the best Texans player in their short franchise history. Despite all the touchdowns, individual awards won, yards gained and records set, Johnson hasn't come close to winning the Super Bowl. If he remains with the Texans it will take a few years before they become competitive enough to compete for the Lombardi Trophy.

Johnson currently has three years left on his contract. Next season he is set to make $6.5 million, 2015 he is scheduled to make $10.5 million, and 2016 he will make $11 million. Come 2017, Johnson is a free agent and he can go whereever he wants. But Johnson knows at that point he will be 36 years old and his value won't be as high. The All-Pro wide out does not plan on attending organized team activities at this point. The only way Johnson can go to another team would be via trade.

There are plenty of teams out there who could use the services of Andre Johnson.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer suggest that a first-round pick for Andre Johnson could be a possibility. The Browns recently received the terrible news that wide receiver Josh Gordon tested positive for drugs, again. Gordon was suspended last season for two games and will most likely be suspended for the entire 2014 season. Last season, Gordon led the NFL in receiving yards. This could be a good move for the Browns because they get a wide receiver back, and the Texans get value for Johnson. It wouldn't be very ideal for Johnson who wants to win a Super Bowl. The Browns are a very young team that still has a lot of holes.

Another team that is being considered is the New England Patriots. The Patriots are a better team than the Browns, so it's likely Johnson would be happier playing in New England. Unlike the Browns and Texans, the Patriots are not in rebuilding mode, so Johnson could just step right in and play. The Patriots have made various attempts at adding new young receivers like Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins, but this could be the equivalent to Randy Moss in 2007. The obvious problem is money. The Patriots are spending a lot money on their quarterback and other positions, so it's unlikely they would be able to afford Johnson. Maybe Johnson would be willing to take a paycut in order to play with the Patriots.

Andre Johnson is a terrific wide receiver, but he must also realize that the market isn't on his side. Wide receivers are not a very rare breed, like corners or safeties, so Johnson is expendable. Johnson also brings a pretty large cap hit with whomever trades for him. If Johnson truly wants to win a Super Bowl, then he may want to take less.
