'Spider-Man: Homecoming' spoilers, news: First trailer released online; Sequel to land in 2019
Spidey fans are all excited as "Spider-Man: Homecoming" trailer has been released. Tom Holland happily came onto "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to launch the trailer on television. Its sequel is said to be launched in 2019.
According to Ecumenical News, the trailer started with Holland's Peter Parker, juggling life as a high school student and a secret superhero. Meanwhile, his best friend, Jacob Batalon's Ned Leeds, is always by his side at school. Ned, of course, finds out that Peter and Spider-Man are juts the same person. Zendaya also makes an appearance in the trailer by delivering a funny line in the trailer.
Also, Robert Downey Jr. was also seen in the video clip, playing as Tony Stark. Tony Stark will be giving an advice to Peter on how can he become a full-pledged member of the Avengers. It has confused the young kid.
In a scene, Tony tells Peter to "forget the flying monster guy" because "there are people who handle this sort of thing." Peter does not take his words too kindly. On the other hand, the next scene showed that he sees him ranting to his best friend that he's tired of being treated like a kid. It is clear that Peter will try to take on the villainous Vulture, played by Michael Keaton.
Meanwhile, according to The Movie Network, Mary Jane Watson will be on screen, Zendaya playing as the new MJ.
"At least one recent draft of the script has Zendaya's character dropping several clues to her identity as Mary Jane." Kevin Feige referred to Zenday's character as Michelle at Comic-Con, which could be a pseudonym for Mary.
On the other hand, there was an interview were Zendaya said that she will not be playing as Mary Jane in this new sequel of Spiderman. The actress insisted that the role that she will be playing is is "not romantic," but rather "dry, awkward, and intellectual."
