Microsoft To Draw 32-Bit Windows Apps On Qualcomm Mobile Processor
Microsoft improved first set of ARM-based stunners with its Windows RT. Although, the device range was unable to premier its hype in the market primarily due to lackings in its applications and simplicity. However, to take on with a second chance, the tech giant has recently joined hands with well-known mobile processor developer Qualcomm. Microsoft has also elaborated that the users of smartphones will be able to witness the first instance of full fledged windows apps running on mobile processor very soon.
According to Computer World, Microsoft finally announced that it has finally created a native version of Windows 10 running on Qualcomm Snapdragon processors with full x86 compatibility. the announcement was held in the WinHEC Show in Shenzhen, China, where the company even showcased a version of Windows 10 running Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor. The company even clarified that this was by no chance any upcoming instance of Windows RT by stating it as a brand new technology advancement.
As per a report by Windows Report, ARM Processors will enable Original Equipment Manufacturers to create fanless and slimmer architecture. This will be possible as the ARM-based chipsets consume much less power than the regular processors. So, eventually, this will definitely turn into a tough race for Intel as Qualcomm Snapdragon Processors will provide more battery life to the equipped machines
Gigabit LTE, Quick Charge, and Grade A Wi-Fi are certain substantial features offered by the Qualcomm's processors. That makes things a lot easier for OEM's as it saves them the trouble of separately integrating all of them into devices. Microsoft has already named these devices "Cellular PCs."IN the initial period, the devices will run 32-bit apps independently. Microsoft has also hinted to improve it in 64-bit quotient as well.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipsets are now under development as per potential sources and these are thought to be shipped by the first half of 2017. So, tech lovers can now expect to see this processor in Microsoft's cellular PC ranges as well.
