The world was stunned to see Barcelona lose to Valencia 3-2 at home this weekend. However, Coach Gerardo Martino expects his team to bounce back when it takes on Real Sociedad in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals.

"We are going to leave behind the defeat to Valencia," Martino said, according to ESPN. "One game can send you up to heaven, and another send you down to hell. But I do not find either heaven or hell, I look for a balance. We are still up there towards the top of the table."

The defeat was a huge blow to Los Cules, who no longer have sole possession of first place in the league; in fact, the team is now three points behind Atletico Madrid. The loss almost pushed Barcelona into third place on the table. However, rival Real Madrid blew its 1-0 lead against Athletic Bilbao and wound up tying 1-1 and tying Barcelona for second place on the table.

Martino notes that the defeat has not altered his resolve or attitude.

"Since the day I arrived at Barcelona until today, the pressure is the same," he said. "There is the same pressure every day. And I would say that until my days end here at Barcelona then the pressure will be the same. I am fine with that, maybe I sleep a little less, but I have adapted. When I come in through the door I know what to expect."

The loss showcased the first domestic league goal from superstar Lionel Messi; the Argentine had been injured for months and had not scored in the game since September.
