5 TV shows worth watching in 2017 ; Big Little Lies, The Young Pope and many more
The year is closing out, some TV shows will return in 2017, others....not really. However there will be some new TV shows viewers might get a knack of. Not in any particular order, these include:
Big Little Lies
According to Forbes, Big Little Lies comes packed with some big names of Hollywood. The cast include Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Alexander Skarsgard, James Tupper, Shailene Woodley, and many more.
The comedy-drama miniseries series is based on the book of the same name by Liane Moriarty. The series will consist of seven episodes and it will air on HBO on February 19, 2017.
The Young Pope
It seems like all the movie actors have a passion for diverting their attention towards small screen since The Young Pope will feature Jude Law and Diane Keaton.
The series is about first-ever American Pope, who has some unique and unconventional methods of working things out the Vatican.
Although the first season was already premiered in multiple countries of Europe including France, Italy, Germany, Austria Bulgaria, Poland, the show will premiere on 15 January 2017 on HBO in the United States.
24: Legacy
The series is a spin-off of viewers' favorite 24 and it is scheduled to premiere on February 5, 2017, as per Time.
Consisting of 12 episodes, the show follows the life of war hero Eric Carter, played by Corey Hawkins.
Prison Break Sequel (unofficial name)
The series is scheduled to premiere in spring 2017 and will be termed as the fifth season of the original Prison Break, continuing the story ahead.
Since the main character Michael Scofield, played by Wentworth Miller, died at the end of the then series finale now fourth season, it will be interesting to see how the network choose to revive the character.
Or maybe they will completely ignore the death of Michael and will continue the story of Prison Break as if Michael never died.
Twin Peaks
Forbes also mentions another continuation series, Twin Peaks. Created by Mark Frost and David Lynch is a continuation of the original series Twin Peaks, which aired on ABC from 1990 to 1991.
