‘Overwatch’ News & Updates: Blizzard giving loot boxes to all players
Blizzard surely likes surprises. The game company surprised “Overwatch” players by giving away free Winter Box Loots for the entire community of players. Being one of the gamers’ favorite games this year, the developer has been truly grateful for the game’s success. The game is giving away five special Winter Boxes. You can get yours just by logging in to your account.
“It has truly been an eventful and amazing year, and we wanted to take a moment to thank you for being a part of it,” reads the holiday message at SegmentNext. “We could not have done this without the tremendous support, passion, and enthusiasm that you’ve shown for Overwatch.”
There will be no expiration for the gifts. The boxes are permanent and are linked to your account, so don’t worry if you cannot access the game right now. But the Winter Wonderland event will expire on January 2 next year, so you may as well get your gifts to enjoy the Christmas feels.
The content of the boxes varies from one account to another, all the contents are random and no one knows what you will get. If you are damn lucky then you might get legendary skins. Some of the skins reportedly received by the players are new skins for Lucio, McCree, Mei, Pharah, Reaper, Roadhog, Sombra, Torbjörn, Tracer, Winston and Zenyatta, who, is recently adored by the community for being an unexpectedly amazing nutcracker. There are also a winter versions of two "Overwatch" Maps, check the wintry Hanamura and King’s Row.
Blizzard has description for its Winter Wonderland event that will last until January 2. “In this brawl, Mei's Endothermic Blaster no longer unleashes a stream of frost or shoots icicles. Instead, it’s been modified to fire a single, super-powered snowball,” as quoted from Polygon.
“Taking down an enemy only takes one hit, but a miss can be costly. Once your weapon is empty, your enemies will have the advantage as you search for the nearest snow pile to reload, so don’t forget to cover your retreat with ice walls and cryo-freeze to block their attacks—and when the battle starts to heat up, you can activate Mei’s Ultimate, which turns her blaster into a semi-automatic snowball launcher, allowing you to fire continuously as your enemies scatter.” Log in to your "Overwatch" accounts now and stay tuned for more exciting updates!
