On Saturday, two of America's biggest stars were spotted by a slew of paparazzi hanging out in the Big Easy throwing back a few beers.

The video, which has gone viral, shows Matthew McConaughey hanging outside on a balcony in New Orleans with his wife Camila Alves and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Bees along with friends and family.

Across the way from them was Brad Pitt, who was enjoying the view from his own personal balcony in the house he and fiancée Angelina Jolie share together.

McConaughey was just juggling around a football when others around tapped him to let him know that Pitt was calling for the "True Detective" star. The two Academy Award actors shared a brief conversation before Pitt offered McConaughey a beer.

As the crowd looking on from below cheered in jubilation at the two's impromptu encounter, the hollering got louder once Pitt tossed McConaughey a can of beer. Pitt, who is 50 years old, seemed pretty spry when he threw the beer across.

Other photos that were snapped later showed McConaughey sipping down the can of booze he received from Pitt.

According to the Daily News, McConaughey was staying in New Orleans over the weekend for a charity event with the "Amazing Race" to benefit the actor's Just Keep Livin' Foundation and the NFL star's Dream Brees Foundation.

Pitt was staying at his home in New Orleans to also support a charity event. He and Jolie hosted a gala Saturday night for Pitt's Make It Right Foundation.

Chris Rock hosted the Make It Right gala at the Sugar Mill and other performers and entertainment included comedian Jim Gaffigan and the rock band Kings of Leon.

McConaughey and close friend Woody Harrelson launched the HBO series "True Detective" earlier this year, which received a lot success and critical acclaim.

Pitt is currently in talks to star in the second season of the show, TIME Magazine reported.
