Not again! Rapper Macklemore has just recently joined the list of celebrities who've all landed themselves in hot water for their highly offensive choice of costume and/or clothing.

On Friday, while performing his hit song, "Thrift Shop" at the Experience Music Project Museum in Seattle, the 30-year-old rapper appeared on stage dressed as a "stereotypical Jew" as described by The Jerusalem Post.

Macklemore wore an oversized nose, bowl-cut wig, and a long beard as part of his controversial "Jewish costume."

To make matters worse, the "Thrift Shop" song that Macklemore chose to perform while wearing the questionable costume is about popping tags to steal clothes -- again playing on another Jewish stereotype that claims Jewish people as being extremely frugal.

Following his peformance, the "Twitter-verse" exploded with harsh criticism towards Macklemore's stereotypical portrayal of the Jewish community.

Even Canadian actor and producer Seth Rogan chimed in to the harsh criticism towards the "Same Love" rapper.

"@macklemore, first you trick people into thinking you're a rapper, now you trick them into thinking you're Jewish?" Rogan tweeted.

Ouch.

The current scandal surrounding Macklemore comes as a drastic change and shock for Macklemore fans who once considered Macklemore and his musical partner Ryan Lewis as "culturally sensitive" artists following the release of their song, "Same Love" that promotes gay rights and marriage.

At first, Macklemore attempted to brush off the "hate" towards his costume, claiming it was a "random costume" that had no relation to Jewish people.

Despite his efforts, people were just not buying it.

Seth Rogan tweeted Macklemore yet again in response to his "random costume" tweet: "@macklemore really?? Because if I told someone to put together an anti Semitic Jew costume, they'd have that exact shopping list."

Finally, as a way to put the scandal to rest, Macklemore published an official apologetic statement on his website on Monday.

Part of the very long apology letter read, "It was surprising and disappointing that the images of a disguise were sensationalized leading to the immediate assertion that my costume was anti-Semetic [sic]."
