Samsung Galaxy S8: Windows 10 Like Continuum Feature And Rumours
As we enter 2017, Samsung's flagship launch of the year, Galaxy S8, is coming closer. We are hearing tons of rumors about this new device which has been generating a lot of buzz of late.
After the Galaxy Note 7 debacle last year, Samsung is rumored to be working over time to make its new flagship device good enough to gain back the customer trust and recover its lost glory. Now if some leaked slide from an internal Samsung presentation is to be believed, Galaxy S8 will be coming with a new Continuum-like feature seen before only in Microsoft devices reports, Phone Radar.
Microsoft' Continuum is a feature seen in Windows 10 mobile which turns a phone into a PC when connected to its monitor while the keyboard and mouse being connected via Bluetooth. The smartphone is docked and this helps to expand the workspace for people working on the phone. This feature will be called the Samsung Desktop Experience and It might come with multi-window and multi-tasking features as well.
While this is a great feature to have, we sure hope that the company tweaks the user interface a bit as well to let users take full advantage of the large display of PCs. According to earlier reports, the smartphone might come in two display sizes 5-inch and 6-inch.
It is also expected to say goodbye to all physical buttons and has pressure sensitive display this year. Samsung might follow the footsteps of other Android devices and shift the fingerprint scanner to a more logical position of the backside of the phone. Rumors are also coming regarding the 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage reports,Gadgets 360.
Though this intriguing feature of Continuum doesn't exist for Android devices, it won't stop the Korean company to launch it with its latest flagship. Samsung has not confirmed the news yet so nothing can be said for sure, although it will be a very interesting add-on to differentiate the Galaxy S8 from other Android flagship models this year. With such fascinating leaks and rumors coming our way from the Samsung camp, it surely looks like Galaxy S8 is going to be one of the best flagship devices this year.
