Mark Ruffalo wants the next Hulk movie to be eco-friendly.

According to IGN the actor, who plays the green monster, noted that artists had a responsibility with their audiences regarding the stories they told.

"As artists we have an ability to reach a lot of people in a deep way, and we have a responsibility," Ruffalo said, according to IGN. "What we have to do as storytellers is to take science and make it relatable.

"I think we have to tell the story of the positive and what we're going to try to do. Give them alternatives but don't make it a polemic."

The Incredible Hulk had two stand alone films but has not been given the chance to carry a movie since the 2008 when Edward Norton played the iconic hero; Ruffalo has not gotten a chance to be the leading man in his own film yet. The actor noted that while he played a major role in the previous "Avengers" film, his input was limited due to the inclusion of other major superheroes and actors.

"I'm in 'The Avengers,' but if you took my screen time it would come to about ten minutes, along with the 12 other people I'm sharing the screen with, so my input's kind of limited on that. But if we get to a standalone Hulk movie, I'll have a much better chance to do that. I'm just learning now how to find my voice and bring it into the studio world."

There has been a growing interest in seeing the Hulk get his own film, but Marvel has not confirmed it as part of the company's plans. Ruffalo will appear in the upcoming "The Avengers: Age of Ultron." This film will add a number of new characters and will likely limit the Hulk's impact even further.
