Could Karim Benzema be headed to Borussia Dortmund? Coach Jurgen Klopp refuses to answer the question.

The Frenchman has been linked with the German club for weeks, but Klopp would not respond to the question directly and even questioned whether Benzema would fit into his club.

"No comment," Klopp told Bild. "I'm not a fan of buying someone solely because of the scoring rate, which means to buy someone who scored 15 goals and set up another 10. Two years from now, there will be strikers nobody was talking about today."

"To me, it's equally important to sign a striker who might only score 10 now, but maybe 20 in the next season."

Klopp recently lost his top scorer when Robert Lewandowski signed a deal to join Bayern Munich. The coach, who relied on Lewandowski for big goals, is reportedly in search of a replacement and many feel that Benzema, who has struggled with his current club Real Madrid, would be an ideal replacement.

Of course, Benzema has struggled to find his form with his current club. He has nine goals and five assists on the year but only recently started scoring at a consistent rate. He failed to score early in the season and was booed incessantly by Madrid fans for his lack of consistency. He scored 11 last season and 21 the year before, but has never topped that feat.

With Madrid's growing reliance on Jese Rodriguez, it is not surprising to hear that Benzema is being shopped. Furthermore, the team may be looking to keep Angel Di Maria and would need to rotate Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale at the forward position in order to keep the Argentine in the starting lineup.

Should Madrid sell Benzema?
