Xiaomi Redmi 5 Leaks: The Handset Hinted To Have 5-inch Display With Royal Metalic Look
Xiaomi's next Redmi installment is perhaps some time away from its official launch. But still, it has encountered an ample number of leaks and rumors. The latest among all these comes from China's smartphone regulatory agency TENAA.
Potential sources suggest that a picture was spotted on TENAA recently which is supposed to be of Xiaomi's next Redmi branded smartphone. The regulatory agency gave the green signal for this handset to be marketed in China. A several numbers of specs and features of this upcoming smartphone have been flaunted too alongside the pictures.
According to BGR, the smartphone will be the successor of Redmi 4 which was launched in the last year by Xiaomi. However, there is a confusion among tech analysts, experts and potential insiders about the handset's probable name.
Some of them are a claiming that the smartphone will be dubbed as Redmi 5, while others are saying that it will be called as Redmi 4X and will be flagged alongside Xiaomi's latest Redmi Note 4X. However, this confusion might only be resolved as soon as the company releases any official thoughts about it.
TENAA listing has also revealed some exclusive specs and features which can be thought to be equipped in the handset. As per a report by GSMArena, the smartphone will come with full metallic finishing supposedly flaunting a trendy glittering backside. Redmi 5 is also reported to have a 5-inch front panel with white-colored-edges at the top and the bottom end of it.
The handset is said to have dual sim functionality along with a powerful 4000mAh battery for a long-lasting power back up. It will be sporting a quite rounded corners as well as a spectacular design for the antenna bands. The smartphone will come with a fingerprint sensor at its backend.
Encoded with the model number: MAE136, Xiaomi Redmi 5 reflects a dimensional area of 139.24 x 69.94 x 8.65 mm. The smartphone is also hinted to look much like Redmi 3s Prime.
