‘Rick and Morty’ Trolled By Adult Swim – Teased Fans About Season 3 With Old Season Clips; Co-Creator Tweets Snappy Post
"Rick and Morty" fans have been asking, even demanding creators to release season 3 on Facebook and Twitter. But co-creator Dan Harmond said that doing these won't be able to accomplish anything. Harmond claims that this is simply immature for fans to do.
Meanwhile, Adult Swim trolls viewers with a supposed to be season 3 teaser clip. However, the viral clip was found to be mashed scenes from season 1 and 2.
Adult Swim has recently released a video teaser of "Rick and Morty" but was not exactly the teaser that fans have been waiting for. The network released a short 40-second video on its official YouTube page with a description that this was the cartoon series' third season, Polygon reported. But as the video was played it only contained scenes from "Rick and Morty's" past seasons. An overplayed meme was also seen which only irritated fans.
Adult Swim asked viewers of the video to share and to download it; there was no information posted regarding "Rick and Morty" season 3. Meanwhile, Den of Geek has reported that season 3 was already written. Animators are still finishing their work which is the main reason for the show's delay.
Fans have been badgering Dan Harmon about the show's season 3 in all social media platforms which has irritated the co-creator. Harmon lengthily replied on Twitter admitting that they never thought that it would take this long for season 3 to be released. He said that fans sound immature and dumb as they demand for the next season to air; it won't accomplish anything.
Early February, a number of "Rick and Morty" writers confirmed that all season 3 episodes were completed as of September but would need to be reviewed by the animation studio. They mentioned an early 2017 release. "Rick and Morty" creators also revealed that they love Vin Diesel as a guest star and revealed an exclusive unfinished clip from season 3 at the San Diego Comic Con 2016.
