Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are making new music again for the first time in seven years.. The news broke out as the younger Beatles alum released a photo thanking McCartney for meeting up over the weekend for the recording.

Ringo Starr is best known for being a drummer for the Beatles and Paul McCartney's bandmate. The last time that Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr made music together was in 2010 for "Y Not." Paul McCartney was the bassist for Ringo Starr's "Peace Dream" and sang for "Walk With You." According to The Guardian, Sir McCartney will have a part in Starr's "Postcards from Paradise."

Bruce Sugar is the one producing Starr's upcoming album which is a follow-up of his 2015 album. The producer also posted a photo of Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr on social media. It was also learned that guitarist Joe Walsh from the Eagles have joined the pair in the recording.

The extent of Paul McCartney's involvement in Ringo Starr's new album is not yet known. Starr's tweet did say that McCartney played bass for him.

The music collaboration between Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr was to be expected because they were spotted along with Walsh, Tom Hanks and Dave Grohl a few days before. Rolling Stone reports that the group was having dinner in Santa Monica.

Ringo Starr's latest new album is currently in the works and no official date or other information on it has been released yet. It will supposedly come out in 2017. Meanwhile, Paul McCartney was noted to be working on a new album under Capitol Records as well. However, there is no new information or news about it yet.
