Kenny Baker, the English performer who played R2-D2 in seven "Star Wars" motion pictures, passed away a year ago at 83 years old. Thus, without precedent in the saga's history, someone else needed to venture inside that adorable droid and breathe life into him for Rian Johnson's "Star Wars: The Last Jedi."

That individual was Scottish on-screen character Jimmy Vee and his portrayal has authoritatively affirmed his contribution as reported by Slash Film. Jimmy quoted that it has been an absolute pleasure to have worked alongside the legendary Kenny Baker. Kenny was a fantastic actor and taught me all the 'tricks' on how he brought R2-D2 to life. Jimmy is no stranger to the world of film and television himself.

While there are discussions about "The Last Jedi" stories, "Star Wars" News net is invalidating the talk that Luke won't be found in the main trailer for the film. A few people are still persuaded that Supreme Leader Snoke, the mystery pioneer of the First Order, could be Mace Windu, by one means or another still alive after the occasions of Revenge of the Sith.

"Rogue One" star Felicity Jones has authoritatively been affirmed as a guest at the current year's Star Wars Celebration, joining Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine) and Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett) in marking signatures for fans in a couple of months. The question now is regardless of whether Jones, a sought-after Oscar nominee, will grasp the "Star Wars" circuit or go about as a tourist, at times flying in just to say hi (and make some money out of it). Comicbook reported that The Last Jedi will release on December 15, 2017.

Talking about "Star Wars" folk and award shows, the incredible John Williams brought home a Grammy for the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" soundtrack. This is the fifth Grammy he has won for his work on "Star Wars" and his 23rd Grammy win in general.
