CBS has released the official synopsis for "Criminal Minds" Season 12 Episode 16. According to Spoilers Guide, a mother of an Unsub reportedly enters the BAU premises and aids them to carry out their respective investigation. Titled as the 'Assistance is Futile,' the killer labeled as the bone crusher will be subjected to thorough exploration as a mother promises to assist the BAU to catalyze their ongoing investigation.
The mother is claimed to have valuable information that can be used by the team to eliminate the chaos that has been presented by the bone crusher. Academy Award Winner Tatum O' Neal will guest star as Miranda White, who will act as the mother of the Unsub, reports Spoiler TV.
While the rest of the team is looking forward to fighting crime and solve puzzling cases, Spencer Reid is supposed to adjust to the new lifestyle. Since one of the BAU agents is under confinement, the episode will also shed light on his new angles and how he proves his innocence, maintaining that all evidence is directed against him.
Dr. Spencer was allegedly involved in a high-speed car chasing accompanied by drugs such as cocaine and heroin. In the preceding episodes, his memory had been altered, thus, he had no idea of his current situation and his association with Mexico.
The previous episodes have shed light on Spencer's personal life. Initially, his Alzheimer's struck mother was welcomed back into the series as Jane Lynch's commendable adjustment to the scene was acknowledged. Spencer was then involved with local Mexican authorities along with his teammates who are still trying to get him out.
Leon Ichaso directed the episode and it is written by Virgil Williams. "Criminal Minds" Season 12 Episode 16 will be aired on March. 15 at 9|8 on CBS.
