Brad Pitt Is Reportedly Missing Oscars, Sculpting Masterpieces And Texting Ex-Wife Jennifer Aniston
This year's Oscars will certainly go down in history for the "La La Land"-"Moonlight" best picture award mix-up. All the movie biggies were present there to witness it but not Brad Pitt.
Brad Pitt's return to the limelight in Golden Globes, after his bitter divorce from Angelina Jolie, received a standing ovation from his peers. When the actor went on-stage to introduce "Moonlight" he was welcomed wholeheartedly.
Fans are wondering what made Brad skip the iconic Oscars. Especially when Brad's Plan B Entertainment produced "Moonlight" that was nominated in several categories and went on to win the Oscar for Best Picture.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, reportedly Brad Pitt was busy the Sunday night. But what could be more important than The Oscars? Sculpting, apparently.
An insider has revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that the 53-year old was busy creating a sculpture at British artist Thomas Houseago's Frogtown studio. Brad had been working on this piece continuously for 10 days at least. It's not revealed what's the art is about.
Brad has always been an art fan. As previously reported by Latin Post, one time when he was visiting Italy, the actor spent as much as $33 million in an hour buying art and related items.
During the Golden Globes, legendary actress Meryl Streep did encourage all to take their broken hearts and turn them into art. Maybe, Brad Pitt was motivated by that speech so much that he decidedly skipped The Oscars.
Sculpting isn't the only thing Brad is doing these days though. As per Mail Online, the "Allied" actor has reportedly contacted his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston to wish her on her birthday. He made an effort to fish out Jen's current number and call her as she turned 48.
Once the most popular couple of Hollywood, Brad and Jennifer have been divorced since 2005. But seems like following his divorce from Angie, Brad is determined to rekindle his friendship with Jennifer once again.
