Justin Bieber is at it again, as the pop singer continues to be embroiled in controversy over his alleged misdeeds. This time, Bieber and his entourage are being accused of starting a brawl and leaving one fan unconscious on the pavement.

The incident started early Sunday morning when a female fan reportedly hit on Bieber while he was partying at a swanky night club in the Hamptons. After Bieber rejected her advances, a male friend of the woman's engaged Bieber in a heated exchange.

Bieber did not react calmly to the provocation. He allegedly took off his shirt and began to wildly shout and gesticulate inside the night club. His security team took the singer out into the parking lot, but the man he had been shouting at followed him out of the club. Soon enough, that man was knocked unconscious on the pavement.

"Upon his release from Peconic Bay Medical Center, the subject responded to Southampton Town Police Department...he was involved in an altercation and physically assaulted by subjects unknown to him but he believes them to be members of singer Justin Bieber's security staff who he stated were also at the night club," said a statement by Southampton police.

It is being reported that Bieber became incensed when he saw that he had been followed out to the parking lot, and climbed through his SUV's sunroof to confront the man again. It is not believed that Bieber actually threw the punch that knocked the club-goer out, and so far he has attempted to distance himself from the rumors.

"The most recent rumors might be the funniest of all. Where do u get this stuff??? #focusedonreality," tweeted the international pop sensation.

Southampton police are now conducting an investigation centered around the actions of Bieber's security guards during the altercation. He's had numerous instances of questionable behavior and run-ins with the law this year, including allegedly spitting on his neighbor, peeing in a restaurant's mop bucket, and racking up a laundry list of traffic fines in Dubai.

That erratic behavior has not gone unnoticed by Bieber's fan base or Hollywood in general. Fresh out of her 90-day stint in rehab, Lindsay Lohan came back into the spotlight to host the talk show Chelsea Lately, and the actress did not shy away from having some fun at Bieber's expense.

"I wanna thank Justin Bieber for being where you shouldn't, spitting where you shouldn't and wearing your pants where you shouldn't," quipped Lohan.
