Mobile Suit Gundam Wing is everywhere. From Blu-Ray, DVD, Hulu, to an upcoming movie trilogy. However, the Life-sized Gundam in Odaiba, Tokyo will officially be replaced by the Unicorn Gundam.

According to Crunchy Roll, a lot of mecha fans may have mourned such a big loss since; the life-size RX-78-2 statue from "Mobile Suit Gundam" was taken down on March 5, 2017. A lot of people witnessed the downfall of the statue to pay their respects to such a legend. However, on the bright side a new mecha model is all set to be built in the same location of the statue that has been demolished. This may be something that mecha fans will get excited about.

The new model was declared via the official Gundam Fan Club smart phone app, which has also featured an exclusive interview with the director Fukui of the "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" series.

On the other hand, the mecha original from Japan might also be considered the iconic symbol of Asia when it comes to originality. Which is more or less similar to the famed "Star Wars" in the West.

Forbes reports that the new mecha replacing the RX-78-2 Gundam statue will be 24 meters tall Unicorn Gundam statue. That value is 6 meters taller than the previous statue since it was only 18 meters tall, and that might be a very much appreciated increase in size for the mecha fans. The model of the new statue will also be in its Destroy Mode, which has been revealed through a promotional image that was released online.

In the meantime, "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing" is available for online streaming via Hulu. The official release date will come with cast and creator interviews.

"Mobile Suit Gundam Wing" also known in Japan as New Mobile Report Gundam Wing[1] (新機動戦記ガンダムW(ウイング) Shin Kidō Senki Gandamu Wingu?), is a 1995 Japanese mecha anime series directed by Masashi Ikeda and written by Katsuyuki Sumizawa.
