'God Wars: Future Past' News: Game Delayed to June Release in West; Kadokawa Games Want to Fix Bugs First
"God Wars: Future Past" has been delayed to June 20 for North America and June 16 for Europe. The game was supposed to be released in the West this month but Japanese game publisher Kadokawa Games says that the game has been delayed in Japan which explains the game's subsequent delay in US and Europe.
Crunchy Roll reports that "God Wars: Future Past" is originally supposed to come out in April 13 but will be delayed to June 22. It is a turn-based role-playing game (RPG) that will be released for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.
Kadokawa Games' decision to push the release date of "God Wars: Future Past" stems from the feedback they received from the game's demo last month. The team behind the game is determined to release a less buggy game so they are taking their time to improve it.
The delayed release of "God Wars: Future Past" in the West was announced by NIS America. The game was originally supposed to be released in North America this March 28 and in Europe on March 31. NIS America apologized for the delay in the West in behalf of Kadokawa Games.
Gematsu reports that gamers will find out more about the traditional stories of Japan in "God Wars: Future Past" in the land called Mizuho. The people of Mizuho are divided into three nations: Izumo, Hyuga and Fuji.
The people were once peace-loving creatures but over time, they have neglected the land to start wars and destroying nature for their gain. In "God Wars: Future Past," Princess Kaguya was sacrificed by Queen Tsukuyomi in order to stop the rage of the gods in the form of natural disasters.
Queen Tsukuyomi disappeared and Princess Kaguya grows up. The princess is joined by his friend Kintaro and their journey in "God Wars: Future Past" will help players find out why Kaguya was sacrificed.
