"Criminal Minds: Beyond Border" Season 2 Episode 1 Spoilers: Team Travels Internationally Along With Jack Garrett as Church Members Disappear
"Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" is all set to kick off its Season 2 this Wednesday. The team's initial travel plan includes Tanzania as a first stop, followed by Italy, Colombia and chilly Nepal.
Titled as 'Lost Souls,' the team under the stewardship of Unit Chief Jack Garret (Gary Sinise) takes off to Tanzania in the upcoming premiere of "Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" Season 2, reports TV Line. As per the released synopsis, Jack, along with his international response team will be traveling to Tanzania when a case involving the disappearance of 23-member church group comes up.
"Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders" Season 2 Episode 1 begins with Jack's 14-year old son asking father's permission to allow him for overseas volunteer work, just like his dad did. Jack's unreasonable act of turning his son's request down was transformed into horror when he was called to investigate the missing case scenario, reports TV Fanatic.
Season 2 will also welcome Jack's son Ryan (Matt Cohen) as an integral part of the team. In an interview conducted with TV Line, Erica Messer hinted that Ryan's initial days "can be a little hard."
The future episodes will highlight Ryan's role as the chief's son. Erica maintains that he is aware of his responsibilities as he is now following his father's footsteps. "We're playing the family drama within that."
"Criminal Minds: Beyond Border" Season 2 will also see Matt (Daniel Henney) traveling to South Korea. The storyline takes its inspiration from his real life as his mother was given up for adoption to an American family. "That's a nice way to touch on one of our heroes without him being in jeopardy," Erica said.
The upcoming season will feature the international agents once again and it will be a nail-biting season with multiple locations. "Criminal Minds: Beyond Border" Season 2 Episode 1 will be aired on Wednesday night at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
