Gamers who waited for the release of the new Nintendo Switch hybrid gaming console were disappointed to find their favorite games dropping and pausing during game play. A number of gamers also complained of dropping Joy-Con Bluetooth connectivity issues which has significantly affected the way they played. Nintendo said that they are aware of these issues and are working hard to resolve these issues and may include a fix in the following firmware update for the device.

There is no doubt that the Nintendo Switch is a powerful portable device but there are some issues with the machine's performance, Nintendo Life reported. There were noticeable frame-rate drops including pauses as the game is playing and freezing for a split-second. All of these were noticed during a game of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." Another online report sad that there are resolution drops in the game "Fast RMX" while frame-rate fluctuations are seen in "I Am Setsuna."

A few avid Nintendo players point out that this could be due to the Switch's failing Wi-Fi connectivity or power. A third-party developer for Switch confirmed that it was indeed with the console's Wi-Fi connection which adds load to the device.

While frame-rate drops are issues for some players, some gamers had problems with actual Nintendo Switch hardware, BGR reported. A few gamers who anticipated the release of the console ahead of its launch are now complaining of failing Joy-con connectivity specifically the left controller. Although there were suggested fixes, from turning off Bluetooth connectivity to tweaking the insides of the controller, Nintendo recommends waiting for answers for this problem.

Nintendo's public relations said that they are looking into the next steps on how to deal with these issues and they report that there are no widespread technical problems. A source has also confirmed that Nintendo plans to fix all these through a forthcoming update.
